hey guys! sorry about such slow progress on orders, I’ve been having many problems with the current status of Tapebeast.
1. the email from the website has not been working correctly apparently, so sorry if I have not responded to an email or an order you have sent. 2. I have about 12 wallets that I have finished, but those of you who ordered them decided to stop responding to my emails because you do not wish to pay for them. sooo I pretty much wasted my time with your orders (if you have ordered, but would like to cancel, just say so please!) i’ve gotten kinda unmotivated to make wallets because of this occurring soo much, but I’ll be sure to get through the orders I already have, if you check in with me :] 3. I’m been completely busy with school this year so I haven’t had the time to get to all your orders, sorry! i appologize, if you have ALREADY placed an order and are still intrested in purchasing your wallet, please email me at: leanzalovesducttape@gmail.com (i am not taking any new orders at the moment) 4. I have about 40+ wallet orders at the moment and I’ll be getting to them slowly, but I’m not sure if some of your orders are legit because I can never get a hold of you, so I skip around to those who are responding to my emails. I can’t emphasize it enough; if you wish to cancel an order you have made, please email me. 5. I keep a list of all my orders on my computer, but my computer got cleared so I may have lost some orders, I went through my email slowly and made sure I had them all, but just to be sure, email me. basically, please email me if you have ALREADY placed an order. just let me know if you still want your wallet or wish to cancel your order & especially if you were one of the ones who never paid for your wallet (they’ve been sitting on my desk for like a year now) soo sorry guys! how do you order a wallet?
go to www.tapebeast.com & write me a message in the text box about what you want. let me know how many wallets, what design, what type of wallet and colors etc. and i’ll email you back
how much are wallets?
$20 for basic size & $30 for longer checkbook style. prices usually stay the same unless the design is HELLA complicated then the prices might go up a little bit more.
do you ship to canada?
yeaa fosho, as long as you cover me for the shipping as well as cover the payment in dollars, then i can ship to pretty much anywhere.
is there a shipping fee?
yea it’s only $5 unless your from out of the country then it might be more.
how do we pay?
easiest way to pay would be through paypal, but if you can’t do that then i also accept money order.
what designs do you have?
I can do any designs you want, it’s completely custom as long as it’s doable and not like hellla impossible.
how long does a wallet take?
the wallet itself only takes like 20 minutes, but the design depending on the complexity can take from a couple minutes to hellla hours
how long does shipping take?
hard to say, but most people tell me they get their wallet within the week after i send it, i don’t really know fosho tho.
how long do the wallets last?
it all depends on how you use it i guess. I spray the wallets with clear coat so that the design won’t come off and the wallets won’t become sticky. so they usually last awhile. I’ve used a wallet for over a year before without clearcoat, but I keep it in my bag. For guys who keep their wallet in their pocket, i would guess it would wear out faster, but I dunno how long.
how did you start tapeBEAST?
ok so it first started at age 11 when I saw someone with a duct tape wallet on TV. I was in awe at the idea so I decided to try my own. the one i saw was kinda janky, so I modified the design of it to how i wanted. My first wallet was kinda crappy as well, but i got the idea of making other things out of duct tape so I focused on bags. I made hellla bags and even sold them for a short time under the name LeanzaLovesDuctTape. It was featured on Good Day Sacramento twice and I even made flower pens, guitar straps, whatever else you could think of, but it was really time consuming to make hella bags, so after while i switched to wallets and realized that it was a lot more doable and i could get a lot more done, so I came up with the name tapeBEAST originally for a project in my graphic design class i was taking as a pre-college class at Academy of Art, but after that i guess it just stuck, so yea, WORD.
i’ll be glad to answer anymore questions you have, just shoot em at me, yee.
i’m not quite sure what to do with this blog yet. i think i might be posting up some pre-made wallets to sell. mostly wallets people order, but then they don’t respond or end up forgetting about it or decide not to pay for it. basically just extra wallets i made i just have layin around. sooo those might be up here for any of yous to purchase :] if you wanna order a custom one tho please hit me at www.tapebeast.com, yee.
or i thought about possibly hosting a raffle or contest for a free wallet maybe…i dunno.
